New Orleans is one of the most exciting cities in the country, and the Gulf Coast has its own version of that energy spread out over a lot more space. Living at Shady Acres puts you close enough to get into the city for a weekend without paying New Orleans prices or dealing with city traffic on a daily basis. Full hookup RV sites start at $515 a month with a three-month minimum, and cottages are available from $725 a month with a six-month minimum. Park-wide fiber Wi-Fi is included in your monthly rate.
For those who'd rather skip the drive altogether, the Amtrak station in Bay St. Louis is just 15 minutes from the park and connects directly to the New Orleans CBD, right next to the Superdome. It's a great option on a Friday night when the last thing you want is to fight I-10 traffic through Slidell.
The park itself sits on beautifully landscaped grounds with mature shade trees, a stocked private fishing pond, a covered community pavilion, and a community firepit. On-site laundry, shower facilities, and propane service are all right here. Pets are welcome, and the dedicated dog playground is a favorite among four-legged residents.
Buccaneer State Park beach is five minutes from the park. NASA Stennis Space Center is ten minutes down the road. Biloxi and the casino strip is 35 minutes east, and the Gulf Coast has plenty going on in between.
